Hannah's 7th Birthday

Hannah's 7th birthday---September 2nd
Hannah has been planning a swimming party since about April. So here it is...

She had a great time. Lots of screaming girls, rowdy boys, presents, cupcakes, and ice cream cones. Thanks to all those who helped (my mom and Erik)
I can't believe one more year until Baptism. Hannah is growing up so much and becoming quite independent. She is a great helper to me and I do miss her while she is gone all day to school. We love her despite her mood swings after school and I love to watch her at tumbling because she is so good at it and has fun!
Happy Birthday Hannah!!!!!

Kate's Big Girl Bed

Well it's official Kate's a big girl. A few weekends ago Erik decided to set up her new bed. She loves it. We put her in the kids room with the bunk beds, I figured she would stay in bed better if they were there too. It's worked so far...

We love our little Kate. She is soooo excited to be a big sister. The only sad part is she has no idea how much it will really affect her. I know she will be a big help and I know they will be such good friends!!

Playtime

While I was getting Hannah ready for school the other morning Cameron and Kate were playing. I heard some noise when I went past the hall closet, this is what I found...

The picture doesn't do it justice of how small a space she was actually in. It was so funny!!

School Starts

Well it's that time of year...school. The kids both started school, Hannah 1st grade and Cameron 2nd year of preschool. They were both very excited and so was I. I haven't been feeling the greatest and figured having two of the three kids in school would be helpful for rest. I forgot how much work it is getting out the door in the morning. We do carpool with my friend for Hannah but I am on my own taking Cam. Cameron has school 3 days a week and Hannah is gone all day. I find myself starting to look at the clock about 1:00 wondering how she is doing. It feels really weird to have her gone all day. I do miss her but she has the sweetest teacher and she is loving it. School lunch is a problem for those of you who don't know how PICKY Hannah is, but we are working through it.

Ready to walk out the door on the first day.
Cam and Kate had to be in at least one picture, they both thought it was a little cold so they had to wear jackets.

Cameron's first day

When Kate got dressed she asked if I was going to take her picture, I said sure and she went right downstairs for the picture spot, right were the other two had their pictures done.

I am soaking up all of our mornings together when it's just Kate and I, before the baby comes. She is such a sweetheart and I can't help but smile at her all the time.

Future Bike Racer

Cameron's first bike race. Erik has been riding the Critts in BDO during the summer, he found out they had a kids race each week too. This is Cam's first race. He was so excited he told my dad he was going to race with his dad and then he told me he needed a jersey to ride in. I hated to burst his bubble and tell him no jersey but even for a kids jersey they are over $50, maybe next year.

They rode a corner and then down the home stretch to the finish line. He pedaled so hard and did great, Erik rode with him the whole way.

At the finish line. He got that cool slap bracelet and the week after a gold medal.

He had a blast...starting him out early!!
I'm sure Cameron and Erik will need a lot of bonding time adding one more girl to the family.

Yellowstone--no dads allowed

I had this "great" idea to go to our cabin in Island Park while Erik rode the Saints to Sinners bike race to Vegas at the end of July. I invited to my mom and sis-in-law to go too with no dads. Lets just say not one of my greatest ideas, it was a little rough but here are some highlights when the kids weren't crying and the moms weren't getting mad...
Old Faithful...I think this is one of the best pics I have of the old geyser. The wind was blowing just the right direction, it was great.
Kate and Porter best friends. Kate is about 7mo older and thinks she always needs to take care of Porter, he plays along for now.

Kate has moved onto the next smiling phase, I do miss her cheeeese smile but I do like that she keeps her eyes open now. What a cutie!

I can always count on Hannah for a pictures pose. Waiting for the eruption of Old Faithful.

Picnic Lunch

We also found out there aren't very many animals to see in July. We did see some Buffalo and Elk, and this big guy.

I do love my kids, but I think I love them more on vacation when Erik is with us.

It's all about the memories right??? Thanks Mom and Ang, glad we survived!!!

Weekend at Bear Lake

Over the 24th we went with Erik's family to Bear Lake. All the guys worked really hard moving rocks and working on landscaping. They took a little break to go enjoy the beach.
This is Reagan, Hannah, and Brianne( she is a couple years younger but wants to hang out with the big girls, I am so glad the let her play with them.)

Kate loves the sand, I am glad she isn't eating it this year.

Cameron and Owen are buddies, Owen was being shy for the picture, but they were showing me their boats.

Kate and Addison, Kate mothers her to no end. I'm sure it's a preview of what is to come with our new baby.

Kate and Olivia, you would never guess that they are only 2 months apart in age. It's great to have so many cousins to play with.

We all had fun and the guys got a lot of work done. Until next trip...
